As the start of the new school year approaches, scheduled for Tuesday September 17, 2024, students and their parents are busy getting ready. While for some children, this period is synonymous with excitement and new challenges, for others, particularly those in vulnerable situations, the start of the new school year remains a source of uncertainty. These children, from impoverished families, are hoping that generous donations will enable them to start the new school year in good conditions. Aware of these realities, the Cœur à Keur Foundation has once again demonstrated its generosity towards children in difficulty.
In collaboration with the NGO “Houenoussou Gnonnoulenitchité”, the Foundation distributed school kits to the underprivileged children of the Fidjrossè-based NGO. This gesture of solidarity took place on September 9, 2024, at the Sainte Famille d’Akogbato parish, in an atmosphere of joy and gratitude. A total of 100 children benefited from donations made by the Cœur à Keur Foundation.
These school kits, comprising exercise books, pens, rulers and other essential supplies, were accompanied by backpacks to enable the children to start their year in good conditions. The NGO Houenoussou complemented this initiative by donating pairs of shoes to these pupils, thus reinforcing their equipment for the start of the new school year.
For these children, this gift represents much more than just material aid. It symbolizes the hope of being able to start the school year without the fear of running out of resources. The start of the new school year, often a source of stress for vulnerable families, has become a time of hope, thanks to the solidarity shown by institutions such as the Fondation Cœur à Keur, with the organizational support of the NGO Houenoussou.
Beyond the school supplies, these initiatives are a reminder of the importance of social responsibility and commitment to the most vulnerable. Through its regular actions, the Cœur à Keur Foundation ensures that children from disadvantaged backgrounds are not left behind in their educational journey.
At the start of each new school year, these generous gestures help to reduce educational inequalities and improve learning conditions for underprivileged students. As the countdown to the start of the new school year on September 16 continues, many children are still waiting for this kind of support.
The Cœur à Keur Foundation encourages individuals and companies to continue this chain of solidarity to enable even more children to start the school year with confidence. As education is a fundamental right, it is essential that all children, without distinction, have access to the resources they need to flourish at school. Actions like those of the Cœur à Keur Foundation are a reminder that every gesture, however modest, can make a difference in a child’s life.
