As part of its ongoing commitment to vulnerable children and youth, the Cœur à Keur Foundation plans to scale up its food assistance efforts during the third and fourth quarters of 2026, covering the period from July to December 2026. This initiative aims to ensure a regular and adequate supply of basic foodstuffs for the benefit of children hosted in its partner centers.
Remedial education program
Firmly convinced that education remains the fundamental cornerstone of every journey towards emancipation, the “Cœur à Keur” Foundation is preparing, for the year 2026, the establishment of a Remedial Education Program intended for orphaned and vulnerable children hosted in its partner centers. Operational from the 2026–2027 academic year, this program will consist of making available to partner centres qualified teachers and primary school instructors, tasked with delivering tutoring sessions tailored to the specific needs of each child.
School Kit Donations for the 2026–2027 Academic Year
As part of its mission to support orphaned and vulnerable children, the Cœur à Keur Foundation plans, for the 2026–2027 academic year, a distribution of school kits intended for children living outside of Child Reception and Protection Centers (CRPC). These children, often overlooked by existing aid mechanisms, face material hardships that directly compromise their access to schooling under dignified conditions.
In continuation of its commitment to the holistic development of orphaned and vulnerable children, the “Cœur à Keur” Foundation is preparing the establishment of visual arts workshops within its partner centers. Conceived as a space of freedom, creativity and personal expression, these workshops are intended for children who, for the most part, have no access to artistic activities in their daily lives.
As every year, the Cœur à Keur Foundation will organise in December 2026 its Christmas festivities for the orphaned and vulnerable children supported by its actions. This moment of joy and sharing, which has become an eagerly anticipated event, will offer children a festive day filled with games, entertainment, a convivial meal and the distribution of gifts. This celebration aims to bring warmth and comfort to those who are too often deprived of the magical atmosphere of the holiday season. By upholding this tradition, the Foundation reaffirms its dedication to the emotional and social well-being of children, beyond their essential needs.
The project to renovate the toilets and changing rooms of the Saints Innocents orphanage in Lobogo is an initiative aimed at modernizing and improving the crucial sanitary facilities for the residents of this institution. This action stems from a recognition of the fundamental importance of adequate sanitary conditions for the health, well-being and dignity of the 20 children of this center.
The fence of the Saints Innocents center orphanage in Lobogo, due to its limited height and level of degradation, no longer constitutes a sufficient deterrent barrier. Intrusions and theft attempts have become very frequent in the center. In fact, they are a growing source of concern. The Heart Foundation in Keur wishes to upgrade the fence of the Lobogo center to offer children a safer living space. This will also allow staff to carry out their support activities in a climate of trust. This securing action is essential to ensure a stable and protected environment.
